The throne of the heart

There is a throne within each of us, That needs to be filled.

A throne designed to be filled with a ruler, A Lord.

Our hearts long to be under control.

But the human flaw is that we long to take that control.

We long to control our hearts and lives.

This is the sin that caused Cain to murder his brother.

This is the sin that caused Judas to take his own life.

It is the sin that we commit daily, The sin of control.

We take the place of lord in our lives that is supposed to be filled by a higher sovereign Lord, A Lord of Lords.

If we long to be completely fulfilled in this life,

If we long to live to be who the creator made us to be,

We must submit, We must relinquish control.

We must transfer Lordship to the Saviour  and Great High Priest.

Who intercedes for all our needs.

Who knows all, Sees all, And hears all.

A Lord far better than we could ever be.

And we must submit under the full authority of this great and completely

just ruler, Jesus
